General Outline
Danish Physical Society consists of plenary lectures and parallel sessions on
astrophysics (arranged by IDA),
atomic physics, condensed matter physics, high energy physics, geophysics and
physics education. During the meeting posters and new products will be on display.
Finally the general assembly of the Danish Physical Society takes place during
the meeting (on Friday, June 3rd).
The meeting is a good opportunity for people working in physics and related
fields to present their work, meet old and new collegues and engage in both
formal and informal discussions about all aspects of physics in Denmark (and
elsewhere of course;-)
Especially students and young researchers are encouraged to attend and present
their work.
Time and Place
The DFS meeting starts on Thursday, June 1st at 11 am (11:00) and ends on Friday, June 2nd at 5 pm (17:00). Both the annual meeting of the Danish Physical Society and Women in Physics are held at Hotel Nyborg Strand

Prices for the best posters will be awarded after the general assembly(see below).
Poster Prize
Also this year the Danish Physical Soceity will honour the best poster presentations.
The poster prices will, apart from the honor and a diploma, consist of excellent
wine and chocolate and a one year free membership of DFS for all students (including
graduate students). Also, the winning posters will be offered publication of
an edited version in KVANT.
The criteria which the committee will do its best to use for selecting the best
posters are the following:

- Reasonable level of information
- Accessibility
- Aesthetics
- Structure
- "Special effects"
- Also, a devoted presentation could play a role
Transportation
Participants must arrange for their own transportation to/from Nyborg.
From the train station, there is approximately 15 minutes of walk to Hotel Nyborg Strand.

The official meeting language is english.
Student Support (free participation)
A number of non-Ph.D. students
can be granted free participation. No separate application is necessary – just
