Det var med stor ærgrelse, at vi i 2020 ved denne tid så os nødsaget til aflyse Årsmødet i Dansk Fysisk Selskab på grund af corona-pandemien. MEN, det os nu som bestyrelse i Dansk Fysisk Selskab en stor glæde at kunne annoncere Årsmødet 2021!! Vi mener, at tallene for vaccinerede og smittede giver anledning til optimisme og vi vil derfor invitere alle medlemmer til Årsmøde 21.-22. juni, et årsmøde med det samme koncept som i 2016-19 og igen med et solidt line-up af inviterede foredrag fra vækstlaget i Dansk Fysik!
Årsmødet i Dansk Fysisk Selskab kommer i år til at ligge 21.-22. Juni, og vil igen foregå ved Middelfart, denne gang på Brogaarden Konferencecenter. Programmet vil indeholde både fælles plenar-foredrag og foredrag i parallelle tematiske sessioner, samt selvfølgelig poster-session, middag og godt samvær med nuværende, tidligere og kommende kollegaer og studiekammerater!

-Årsmødet vil derfor give mulighed for at se de nyeste resultater indenfor en bred vifte af fysiske discipliner, fra superkølede væsker og katalyse til kvante-
devices, og om bedre rekruttering og læring i Fysik! Udover de inviterede foredrag vil der naturligvis også være en lang række ”contributed” foredrag i programmet, idet vi med DFS’ Årsmøder gerne vil skabe en god ramme for at også yngre fysikere kan præsentere deres arbejde for fagfæller. Der vil desuden være tematiske sessioner, blandt andet om rekruttering og undervisning indenfor Fysik.
Alle deltagere, særligt studerende, opfordres til at medbringe en poster, og der vil være kontante præmier til både det/de bedste foredrag og den/de bedste poster, og vinderne vil desuden blive inviteret til at skrive en artikel om deres projekt til KVANT.
Der vil i år være fripladser til både såvel gymnasielærere og studerende som er medlemmer af DFS, og i øvrigt vil medlemskab af DFS som altid medføre en rabat på konferencegebyret.

Dear DFS member
As you all are familiar with the trial and tribulations of the past year, we hope you understand that it was necessary to cancel the 2020 DFS meeting. Now, however, we think that we can see the light at the end of the tunnel, and we in the DFS board are happy to announce that we will meet this year! The 2021 Annual DFS meeting will be held the 21st and 22nd of June and you are all invited.
This year’s meeting will take place in lovely Middelfart at the Brogaarden Conference Center. The program has a wide range of very timely topics arranged in Plenary, Parallel and, of course, Poster sessions. The very reasonable price includes the meeting, coffee, snacks, a nice room, and a wonderful dinner. The list of Invited Speakers includes:

Due to the projected Covid restrictions at the time of the DFS meeting, we anticipate a limit of 100 participants for the meeting. While we all hope that the restriction will be less severe, it is likely that they will not be. So, don’t delay! Register today! If the restriction on the number of participants remains at 100, the first 100 registrants will be chosen to attend. In the event of more severe restrictions, the meeting will be rescheduled for August 2021.
